What is your I AM?
I am a lover of places.
What do you love about your EP city?
I love the warm weather and warm culture of the Philippines.
How did you come to be here?
After spending her childhood in a quaint town in Northern California she flew off to Oahu Hawaii for university with a pit stop in Seattle before settling down in Manila since 2009. Ambers love of places most likely comes from living in unique towns and cities around the globe.
A five year teaching career in Hawaii, Seattle and Manila took a pause as Amber's family grew. Seeking individual fulfillment in addition to motherhood Amber created her social media platform, amommabroad.com, which has grown into a support for her cross culture community. She focuses on finding positivity no matter where you live and teaching ways to create place attachment.

What is your I AM?
I am a nurturer of creativity and love to make creative ideas come to life.
What do you love about your EP city?
The warmth and smiles of the Filipino people. It is also my hometown and where my family and friends are.
How did you come to be here?
I heard about Empowering Perspectives from my co-leader Amber Folkman. Her mission to make expats and locals fall in love with where they live resonate with me and I'm excited to be partnering with her not only on this but also on a series of other workshops.
Reminding women that you always have the choice to be happy and to thrive wherever you are makes this work not just interesting but purposeful for me. Guiding them to use their creativity and resourcefulness to craft a life they love makes me excited about what I do.
